90s indie band from Cork, re-emerged in 2020
About Emperor of Ice Cream
Emperor of Ice Cream from Cork were formed in 1992 and moved to London a year later. They were signed to Sony Records for two and a half years. They split in 1995 having been dropped by their record label. Fast forward 25 years later, the band got back together to finish a project left undone for a quarter of a century, re-worked their demo tracks and released their debut album, No Sound Ever Dies, in August 2020.
Emperor of Ice Cream are John ‘Haggis’ Hegarty (vocals), Graham Finn (guitar), Edward Butt (bass), Colum Young (drums).
Hegarty and Butt are also part of another project called Silver Owls.
